Was thinking it might be fun for all of the junkies who are going to the Nashville show to meet up for some drinks before hand. Perhaps take the Hank Williams approach and drink at Tootsies before dashing over to the Ryman. Let me know.

Well, Tootsies is always a fun place, and very close to the Ryman, but a lot depends on how busy they are. It is not the biggest place. The show starts at 7:30, what time do folks want to meet up? 6:00, earlier/later? We can always meet up somewhere and then journey to a place that has room for all of us crazy Highway junkies. We'll be "sittin on a bar stool down on broadway, waiting for the man...."

Pre-party at Tootsies to meet up with everyone sounds like a great plan.
How about we all meet between 530-600pm, and since we all have seats at the Ryman, we won't have to worry about the crazy rush.
Many of us are also going out after the concert, so we need to make sure we all meet up after the show at a designated spot, so we can hit the HonkyTonks. Party time!!!

New to the board!
Heading to Nashville this week for Thursday's concert with my husband and cousins. Would love to pre party with other Junkies! Tootsies sounds like fun. This is our first trip to Nashville! Can't wait!
Ya'll have fun! I so wish I could be there but can't! Hopefully I can see Gary play The Ryman sometime though - it is an awesome venue! The acoustics in that place are unbelievable! Ya'll should ck out the Big Bang afterwards - not really a "honky tonk" but very entertaining! Enjoy NashVegas everybody!

This is going to be the longest week at work ever!!!! Can't wait until Thursday! Much needed long weekend in Nashville! So excited about seeing Gary play at the Ryman after all these years of waiting.. Going to the Friday night Opry at the Ryman as well...If you don't have plans you all should check it out...amazing!

Have a safe trip and a great time while at the CMAs and in Nashville! We are also staying at the Doubletree but won't arrive until early Thursday morning. I may get there earlier than the rest so might may have to sit in the lobby until our rooms are available. Please stop by and introduce yourselves!
