What a night! This was my first time to this venue: outdoors by the river and holds over 55,000 people. It was thankfully laid back. Folks I hear, started lining up for the general admission entry around 3 pm. I was flying in from Cali so got there around 5:30 pm. Met some very nice folks in line. Entry was orderly and I got a spot front row in front of David

It was a HOT afternoon, got up to 102 degrees and humid! Gary played his ususal round of golf and we heard he even took a swim in the river before the concert.

Aaron Watson opened for Gary and he was great! Good ol' honky tonk boy His fiddler, a young man no more than 27 years old was truly amazing!!! I got some video of him that I will post on youtube.

Gary opened with RWINTB followed with AFLT. His voice was clear, but towards the end of the concert, his voice had that recognizable raspiness we all love. He did some of our favorites...BB, KMWID, NOBTR, LAAB, LHTBand TAO

Jamie wore his kilt and was on fire! He was playing his guitar with true "groove"...just like my David

The ususal opening of MOM with Levi and David was superb! I could never get tired of it! then of course, the now known "concert version" of MOM is amazing!!!! We have to talk Gary into doing a Live DVD - like the HOB special that includes this version of MOM.

Encore was Georgia Satellite's "Keep you hands to yourself" and DDW!!! Lucy made her appearance during DDW and sat behind Gary while he finished the song...cute as always!!!

Glad to meet some junkies at the concert and I had so much fun my voice is completely gone!!!! Pictures will be posted on shutterfly later this weekend.

One can never get tired of Gary even if we already know his little mannerisms on stage - it was a hot evening and Gary was sizzling!!!! He NEVER disappoints!!!!

I've only seen gary 4 times now but last night's show was great!!!! I was right in front of Jaime. Got guitar picks from Aaron Watson, Jaime and Gary. My daughter and i had so much fun. I still can't hear..haha. The venue was so packed. I really think Gary was enjoying himself. He kept putting his hand to his heart...like he was very thankful to us. Hadn't seen Lucy before...she was too cute. Best show ever!

I stood right next to you, you should have introduced yourself, I am the rather large woman in the lavender shirt, black shorts who gave him the guitar strap! Nice to meet you...... Kind of ...lol

Annaluisa, It was so nice meeting you!!!!! You are just as nice in person as your are in your emails and posts!!!!
The show was great, I have most of the concert video taped on my FB page - if you are friends with me you can see the videos, but my page is set to private - sorry, too many drama queens to make it public!! LOL

I taped Lucy running out and then obeying her Daddy when he told her to lay down with just a point of the finger, BUT for some reason it failed to download! I am soooooo disappointed!!!!! But I did get some good videos, and speaking of his voice, I can definetely tell that he is still getting vocal rehab, he is just getting better and better, holding notes longer, etc.... OMG, Can that man get better???? I didn't think that was possible, but he sounded so great Friday night!!!

Oh and yes, I was the crazy one that got there at 1pm becasue I wanted to get front row and the office told me that sometimes there are people lining up at 8am, and to see our Man, I would sit in line for 12 hours or in 5 degree weather or 500 degree weather (Of course I will pay dearly fro it - like I did this time), but he was worth it - being on the front row!!! "So what if I dont do it like everyobody else does"....."Like its a bad thing"....

Again, AP, so nice to finally meet you, we will have to meet in Nashville!!! Send me an email as to what # you are in line and when you get there and how long you are staying and what hotel.... Ill be there from Wednesday and leaving Saturday. I dont know my way around Nashville, so I need a tour guide - Garys fan tour guide so we can have fun and hang out!!!!!

Fantastic show from Gary and the guys! Got a great spot on the front row right in front of Jaime. Was great to hear some of my favorites from years back. Had one of my bestest Gary buddies with me - her first front row experience. Annaluisa... we met in line and were talking about how you had come in from California, but I don't think we introduced ourselves. Monica, not sure if you're on the board but we had a blast with you and Mckenna in line and on the front row. Mckenna's first concert and it's front row for Gary.... PRICELESS!! Can't wait to see ya'll in August. Sally, you were just to my left cuz the guitar strap went right up in front of me.


Great music, great friends, great venue, front row..... perfect way to celebrate my 25th show! Next up... Nashville!! Then Waco. Thinking about slipping Orange Beach into the schedule. Maybe Biloxi in September????

Yes, it was pretty brutal, people were shoving and pushing their way into me and squeezing me against the gate (Glad I have some cushion) LOL

I was right beside you I think? I was wearing a lime green and white shirt. The little girl who picked it up was Mckenna. Doubt she's on the board cuz she's only 12. But she's already a darn fine Junkie! I can get word to her that you send your thanks.

PLease do THANK HER FOR ME!!!!!! That was so sweet of her, if it werent for her I dont know how I would have gotten it to him - he could have walked over on that 1 speaker like he did the second time, but oh well, at least he got it. I never saw him take it with him off of the stage, did you by any chance? My friends said they say him take it, but I was watching and didnt see. Cause if he didnt take it with him, he probably never got it!
