We had our concert yesterday and had a blast! The new band members not only have learned GOOTP and other favorite songs, but ones we haven't heard in a while (Runaway, He Can't Quit Her, and several from Living Hard). Gives me hope that Nickajack Cave, IJGBFH, and Red Lips, Blue Eyes, Little White Lies could get resurrected. (I miss the early years Bakersfield sound.) It showed all the band members have been working hard to get ready for the tour. I could hear the audience singing along with Gary and the band. I hope someone (you know who you are) posts pictures of Levi's cool pants. Only he (and probably Gary) could wear them! Adorable Lucy generated cheers from those not accustomed to seeing her during the audience demanded encore. Glad my concert call buddies aren't mad at me for blowing up their phones after they went to bed! Sorry for the later time zone. Didn't see Lady in the Green Hat but figured you're catching a closer venue. Heard a newbi attendee in the parking lot afterwards talk about being surprised at such a good concert.

The tailgaters in the parking lot missed some good artists, autographs, and photo ops with the performers on the side stage and Bluebird Cafe along with free huge cans of flavored tea and prizes. There was something to do constantly. Make sure you stick around for Eric Paslay's song Less Than Whole, that he wrote with Big Kenny. Sunny Sweeney was a pleasant surprise. Dirty Laundry is classic redneck. Stop at the Country Weekly booth so you can get an official Country Throwdown program magazine with artist profiles and extras. Tons of thanks to the fan club and Gary for the icing on the cake M/G and getting my treasured cowboy hat autographed after 13 years! Made a pitch for Long Year (Gary didn't write it) to get added as a hidden track on the next CD like No Judgement Day was, but he said he's already sent in his songs for the next CD. Another great show with a much longer rush!!!! Get your ticket everyone, if you haven't yet, and take a friend.
I'd rather be at a Gary Allan concert!

All of the artists on the side stage and tent were doing photo ops and autographs at their sponsoring booths in a separate area from the main stage. Sunny was by the Army one before her set, as did Josh Thompson at his. The rest did them after their sets. CD's could also be purchased so bring extra money.

My fan club compadre had a high quality camera, so she took all the pictures on her camera with the artists. The meet and greet is just like the fan club party but only individually instead of paired with someone else.

In KC, it was at 8:45 PM but it depends on the Throwdown Tour start time, as they vary based on the venue. Being the headliner, he's the last performer; but it's worth going at the beginning to see everyone else.

Enjoyed the show on the 23rd. Gary's show started at 9:45 pm. I didn't hear any new songs though,He started with Watching Airplanes and ended with Drinking Dark Whiskey.Gary said he had a borrowed Drummer and his Guitar Player was on his 15th show. As always - It was a Rockin Good Time.......
