It's been a tough week having found out I lost a friend and her family to a drunk driver.. I met her by attending one of Gary's concerts in MN. Since then we met up at a couple more and kept in touch. She was disappointed a couple weeks ago that she couldn't go to the last one I went to and I finally got a meet and greet. She teased and wanted all the details. That was the last time we chatted. : ( around the same time she annouced she was pregnant with her second child. Anyhow I just want everyone out there to remember to be responsible when drinking and hand over the keys and get a ride. Do what you have to do because you're not only putting your own life at risk. There are other innocent lives out there that are affected in a huge way. RIP Aaron, Allison, Brielle, and Baby.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of them. Everyone should be more responsible when drinking, do not drive at all. So sorry for your loss.

This loss hopefully will continue to shape how we can change the attitude towards drinking and driving. Change can happen even though it might not seem fast enough.

I drove that Interstate last summer and it seemed like quite a desolate route at the time... much different than the Interstates here in Harris and Montgomery county, TX were we have a massive drunk driving problem. Tragedy hits in the most obvious and most unlikely of places daily, making it all the more difficult to anticipate. Prayers to all those families today who will endure loss because of a drunk driver.
