If Gary would sing...

I'm a newbie, so this topic might have been done already, but if Gary could cover any song (not that he needs to) in his own style, what would you want him to sing? Just thought this would be fun.
I'm thinking he'd do a great version of Waylon Jennings's "Come with me." What do y'all think?

Springsteen's Thunder Road.
Great musician....and a great song.
From the east come new beginnings, shown through the red rising sun.The yellow, sunny south is a protected place of growth. The black west, where the sun sets, represents endings & dreams. From the white north,we gain wisdom found through stillness.

Well Gary is a REAL singer, so as far as I'm concerned, he could sing the phone book and I would listen!
I would love to hear him cover an Elvis tune though...maybe "Kentucky Rain".

OMG.. that was so funny... We've got a lot of interesting and varied songs... I think he could do any!

I'm all for "I'm on fire"... but I know this is gonna sound weird to most of you but Gary used to listen to some punk bands growing up and I would not mind having him sing some of those songs with his own twist, like "ball and chain" by Social Distortion or "Passanger" by Souxie and the Banshees
I was put here to live and love,
so what if I don't do it like everybody else does

I was actually just reading the lyrics to a song I've loved for many years now. The funny thing is, it just occurred to me that I would love to here Gary sing it. Here's my picks:
It You Could Only See Me Now ~ T. Graham Brown (this is the one I was referring to above.)
Nothing ~ Dwight Yokam
With of Without You ~ U2
Layla ~ Eric Clapton (the "rockin'" version, not the "unplugged" version)
Wild Horses ~ Rolling Stones
Wicked Game ~ Chris Issak
and I completely agree with "I'm On Fire" all I can say is Oh My God !!!

I just got a little lost along the way.

That man can "still" sing...You should hear him do his version of "Just A Closer Walk With Thee"...
ANYWAY...O.k. I'll play, even though I'm gonna say the same thing I say everytime this subject comes up...
I would "Seriously", "OMG", "Can't Even Put It Into Words", LOVE for Gary to put his spin on Todd
Snider's song "Trouble"!!! Even just the "thought process" puts me in a good mood!!!
BTW: Just can't wrap my brain around "The Man" singing "Jessie's Girl"???

Love Layla, but Bell Bottom Blues would send us all into heart attacks I think ... to hear him sing ... do you want to see me crawl across the floor, do you want to hear me beg you to take me back, I don't want to fade away .... aahh
And yes, oh oh oh I'm on fire ....
And yes, oh oh oh I'm on fire ....
