Three winners of an upcoming talent show will perform at Gary Allan’s Feb. 14 concert at the Columbus Civic Center.

Preliminary rounds of the contest, open to all ages, are Jan. 31 at Columbus State University’s Woodruff Gym. It’s $10 to enter and proceeds benefit Columbus Hospice.

Winners in female, male and youth divisions will open for Gary Allan. There’s also a total of $1,000 in prize money.

Gary Allan says girls outside of the Golden State like his current single ‘She’s So California’ as much as the California gals do.

Allan once traveled with his musician father, playing all the small bars and clubs in his native state. During that time, he had a good chance to get to know everything there is to know about the women in California!

The second year of Project Paper Doll (PPD) astonished committee members who had conservative expectations with record breaking winning bids and an 82% increase in website hits compared to last year. Despite a recession fraught with foreclosures and bailouts, PPD has raised nearly $45,000 in the last two years for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
