STAGE COLLAPSES AT BIG VALLEY JAMBOREE IN ALBERTA, CANADA

As some of you have learned, the stage collapsed this evening at Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, Canada. Fortunately, Gary, his band and crew are all safe. Gary was scheduled to headline the Jamboree this evening, but had not yet made it to the festival grounds when the stage collapsed just after six o’clock local time.

As we understand it, Gary’s sister-label mate (Mercury Records recording artist) Billy Currington and his band were performing when the stage suddenly collapsed. The collapse appears to have been the result of a strong storm that blew through the area unexpectedly.

We are deeply saddened to tell you that one person was killed and several others were injured during the incident. We do not yet know the identity of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.

We will do our best to keep you apprised as details are announced in the coming days.
