GARY ALLAN AGAIN A RODEOHOUSTON STANDOUT

By: admin Categories:News

RodeoBlog Gary Allan prefers a leather jacket to a cowboy hat and croons thoughtful songs about relationships instead of boot-scootin' and badonkadonks. And for the past three years, he's been a RodeoHouston highlight. Allan kicked off with the wide-open country of Right Where I Need to Be and A Feelin' Like That. The California native took the stage following a few prerecorded strains of I Fought the Law. He launched into Get Off On the Pain, the title track of his eighth studio album (released earlier this month).

By: admin Categories:News

Steve Campbell: Chronicle Gary Allan brought some bad-boy flavor to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. And it was a welcome shift after a season of aw-shucks good guys (Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Clint Black). Allan’s first RodeoHouston appearance was in 1997, and his Wednesday show was a welcome return. “This is a special gig for us,” he said. “Our first show we played with a record contract was here.”
