GARY ALLAN SHOWS HIS STYLE WITH NASHVILLE CLOTHING STORE

Cindy Watts - Tenessean With his affinity for tattoos, tight jeans and tighter T-shirts, Gary Allan has spent years honing his personal style and living the image he projects. Now, in partnership with his stylist, Renee Layher, he’s opening his own high-end clothing store in Nashville, so locals with a big enough wallet can dress in similar cutting-edge fashion. Obviously, it’s not all jeans and T-shirts. Allan’s store, called The Label, opens today at 2222 12th Ave. S., and everything in the store is for sale. That means the guitars on the wall, the art, the light fixtures and the tables and chairs all have a price tag. But the clothes — from Tony Sartino custom-tailored suits starting at $3,200 to Logan Riese custom leather jackets — are the real stars.

NASHVILLE GETS A NEW “LABEL”

Sherod Robertson - Music Row The Label, Nashville’s newest men’s boutique, opens today in the 12South District at 2222 12th Ave S. Country artist Gary Allan and long-time stylist Renee Layher joined forces to bring a new crop of design talent to Nashville. Their high-end, exclusive men’s boutique offers cutting edge design in clothing, jewelry and home furnishings. During a trip to LA with his stylist Layher, who serves as the store’s General Manager, the two discussed the need for such designs in Nashville. Through that conversation, the concept for The Label was born. Tony Sartino, designer for celebrities such as Prince, Kings Of Leon, Bon Jovi and Goo Goo Dolls, will create custom suits, pants and shirts. Sartino resides in Los Angeles, but he will be available regularly at The Label.

Clothing store opens in Nashville Sept. 1. Bob Paxman - CountryWeekly.com Gary Allan is starting a new label, but it's not the kind usually associated with making records. Gary and his longtime stylist Renee Layher are opening a new high-end clothing, furniture and accessory store in Nashville called The Label, located in Music City’s trendy 12 South district, on Thursday, Sept. 1. Gary and Renee, who will serve as general manager for The Label, gave members of the Nashville media a preview of the store, Monday (Aug. 29). “Renee and I had talked about doing this maybe 10 years ago,” Gary explained. “We actually sat down about a year ago and said, ‘Let’s do it.’ It came together really quickly.”

GARY ALLAN OPENING MEN’S STORE IN NASHVILLE

Gary AllanCMT Gary Allan and his stylist, Renee Layher, will open a boutique men's store in Nashville on Thursday (Sept. 1) named the Label. Located at 2222 12th Avenue South, the store will sell custom-made suits, leather jackets and stage wear, as well as fine denim, dress shirts, hand-crafted furniture and jewelry. Nearly all the inventory comes from Los Angeles-based designers such as Logan Riese. The singer personally previewed the Label with members of the media on Monday afternoon. He said the store will specialize in helping athletes and musicians in the Southeast find stylish, custom-made clothes that fit well. In addition, he indicated he'll start working on an album soon, now that the store is about to open.
