GARY ALLAN REVAMPS SHOW FOR COUNTRY THROWDOWN TOUR

CMT News Gary Allan says he has "revamped my whole show" in advance of this summer's Country Throwdown tour. During a Monday afternoon (Feb. 27) gathering in Nashville, he told reporters he's recording new material in the coming weeks and will include some of those songs in his set list for the upcoming tour. Allan was joined by Country Throwdown creators Kevin Lyman and Sarah Baer for the press conference at Allan's clothing store, the Label. The Country Throwdown tour launches May 20 in Gulfport, Miss. In addition to Allan's headlining slot, Justin Moore and Rodney Atkins will appear on select dates.

NASHVILLE GETS A NEW “LABEL”

Sherod Robertson - Music Row The Label, Nashville’s newest men’s boutique, opens today in the 12South District at 2222 12th Ave S. Country artist Gary Allan and long-time stylist Renee Layher joined forces to bring a new crop of design talent to Nashville. Their high-end, exclusive men’s boutique offers cutting edge design in clothing, jewelry and home furnishings. During a trip to LA with his stylist Layher, who serves as the store’s General Manager, the two discussed the need for such designs in Nashville. Through that conversation, the concept for The Label was born. Tony Sartino, designer for celebrities such as Prince, Kings Of Leon, Bon Jovi and Goo Goo Dolls, will create custom suits, pants and shirts. Sartino resides in Los Angeles, but he will be available regularly at The Label.

Clothing store opens in Nashville Sept. 1. Bob Paxman - CountryWeekly.com Gary Allan is starting a new label, but it's not the kind usually associated with making records. Gary and his longtime stylist Renee Layher are opening a new high-end clothing, furniture and accessory store in Nashville called The Label, located in Music City’s trendy 12 South district, on Thursday, Sept. 1. Gary and Renee, who will serve as general manager for The Label, gave members of the Nashville media a preview of the store, Monday (Aug. 29). “Renee and I had talked about doing this maybe 10 years ago,” Gary explained. “We actually sat down about a year ago and said, ‘Let’s do it.’ It came together really quickly.”
