Gary Allan is known for his singing and songwriting, but he’s about to get a new label — high-end men’s store owner. Gary and his stylist Renee Layher are opening their new shop The Label in Nashville’s trendy 12th South District Thursday offering custom suits, shirts, leather jackets, jewelry and even furniture. These are the kind of items Gary has been flying out to L.A. to get for years, and now he thinks Nashville is ready to support a store like The Label.
“It’s hard to find people that do really custom stuff so that you’re not wearing something that somebody else is wearing and still feel like it’s a flavor that you want,” Gary explains. “I think there’s a big hole for that here [in Nashville]. Nobody’s doing anything like that even close, I think.”
Gary thinks The Label will appeal to people in Nashville in the sports and entertainment industries. He adds, “I think it’s going to be a destination place.” Gary’s stylist Renee will be the general manager of The Label.
